Coaching is a collaborative, goal-oriented process designed to help you clarify your vision, identify obstacles, and create meaningful strategies for personal and professional growth. My coaching approach is neurodivergent-affirming, creative, and supportive - grounded in self-awareness, practical action, and authentic connection.

Coaching may involve:

  • Identifying and working toward personal, professional, or creative goals

  • Exploring strategies and tools that align with your unique strengths and needs

  • Building structure, routines, and habits that support growth

  • Navigating transitions and decision-making with clarity

  • Enhancing self-awareness and self-trust

Common Questions

  • Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment. While coaching can be insightful and emotionally meaningful, it is not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, nor does it replace psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or medical treatment.

If, during our work together, it becomes clear that therapeutic services would better support your goals or well-being, I will discuss this with you and provide appropriate referrals. Clients engaging in therapy and coaching simultaneously should ensure that roles and boundaries are clear with each provider.

  • Coaching is offered through Artist Eye Coaching, a distinct service from my clinical counseling practice (Artist Eye Counseling). While my work is informed by my background as a Licensed Professional Counselor, coaching sessions are not clinical services and do not fall under HIPAA or insurance coverage.

Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. The first session is 60 minutes, focused on getting clear about your goals and identifying the best ways to support you. Follow-up sessions can be either 30 or 60 minutes, depending on the topic and depth of work.

Coaching is conducted remotely unless otherwise arranged. All sessions are by appointment only.

    • Introductory Individual Sessions: $125 per 60-minute session (rate subject to change).

    • Follow-up Sessions: $125 per 60-minute session or prorated for 30 minutes.

    • Group Coaching: $400 per group (details provided prior to group start).

    • Session Packages: Buy four sessions and save—$110 per session when purchased as a package. Packages must be used within six months of purchase.

    • Consultation: I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation for prospective clients to explore fit.

Payment is due at the time of scheduling. Coaching sessions are not billable to insurance.

    • Cancellation Policy: A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

    • Missed Sessions: If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and have not provided notice, the full session fee will apply.

    • Refunds: There are no refunds for coaching sessions, packages, or groups once purchased. Unused package sessions may be rescheduled within the six-month window, but cannot be refunded.

  • Termination Policy

Either party may choose to end the coaching relationship at any time. If I determine that coaching is no longer appropriate or beneficial - for example, if therapeutic services are needed or if goals have shifted beyond the scope of coaching - I will discuss this with you and may refer you to other resources or providers.

If you choose to terminate coaching, I recommend providing notice so we can review progress and close our work intentionally.

  • Confidentiality

While coaching sessions are held in confidence, they are not protected by HIPAA or state mental health confidentiality laws. I treat your information with respect and discretion, and will not share your information without your consent except where required by law (e.g., court orders, imminent risk of harm, or abuse of a child, elder, or vulnerable person).

Testimonials

“Working with Douglas through coaching has been life-changing. As a late-diagnosed autistic adult, I’ve spent years trying to fit into systems that didn’t work for me. His affirming approach helped me understand my strengths, build sustainable routines, and stop beating myself up for the way my brain works. For the first time, I feel like my goals are actually achievable, and they’re mine, not someone else’s version of success.”

J. Abrams

“Douglas has a way of cutting through the noise with clarity and compassion. I came to coaching feeling stuck and overwhelmed in my business. Through our work, I built clear strategies, reconnected with my creativity, and stopped procrastinating out of fear. I now have a structure that supports me, rather than drains me. His ability to blend insight with practical action is rare, and exactly what I needed.”

“In just a few sessions, coaching with Douglas gave me the push I needed to make real changes. He asked the right questions, offered perspectives I hadn’t considered, and held me accountable without judgment. I left each session feeling clearer, lighter, and more capable. This isn’t cookie-cutter coaching, it’s thoughtful, empowering, and deeply human.”

C. Lee

I work with people who, like me, often see and experience the world a little differently. Many are neurodivergent, creative, or in seasons of transition, trying to find a path that actually fits. I’m drawn to this work because I know what it’s like to feel out of step with traditional systems and expectations. Coaching gives me the space to meet people where they are with honesty, respect, and curiosity, and to help them create lives that feel authentic, sustainable, and truly their own.
